Tapa Turtle.

This term we have been learning about tapa cloth.

I learned how to carve.You had to carve away from yourself.I also learnt how to make tapa cloth.We learnt all the steps to make it.There were eight steps.They  are 1.Cut down a mulberry tree.2.Peel away all the white inner bark from the brown inner bark. 3.Roll up the white inner bark.4.lay out bark on wooden log.5.scrap the bark with shells.6.Beat the bark with mullets.7. scratch the inner so it looks like cloth.8.Then paint it with dys. I liked the maths rotations they were very fun.I liked circle power.It was a fun activity where we learnt about symmetry.My favourite activity was wrap it up.We learnt about geometry because in tapa cloth there is lots of patterns.I learnt how to find the lines of symmetry in shapes.I learnt what translation is.It is when you move a shape over,carrying on the pattern.I liked scrunching up the paper.

I dive in, the cold water surrounds me as I start to swim.I could feel the going to fall off."Go Olly,"screamed mum.I swim harder and harder.I could see the finish line up ahead.The flags wave wildly as I zoom by.The water splashes up into my face.I dig it in for the last five meters."Boom,"is the sound as I touch the wall.I fall onto the lane ropes smiling to myself, I had won the race.The red cube gets closer and closer as i receive the prize.

I karate kick the door open bursting through.The sun shines brightly as I pass by.I could feel the heat burning me.I scatter to my first destination ,the amazing,fantastic room 14.I knock cautiously,waiting for an answer.I could feel the nerves moving steadily throughout my body.My fingers tremble with fear as i wait patiently.Suddenly…

“Hello”says a familiar voice,it’s my cheeky brothers. ”Recycling please”i reply cheerfully “Man you look sweater than dad after he has been for a run,”I quickly peek inside their classroom and it was a mess.

Integrity 

 "Click,"Goes a pen as Addison sits up perfectly.She never gets distracted and is always on task.I think she is very responsible and always gets the job done."Be quiet"shushes Addison. Integrity flows through every living thing.I think she uses it positively not negativity.When other people talk she sits up.When everybody is off task she is on task.

My feet get a big shock as I do an  amazing superman dive off the black trampoline and…

“Bam,”I land awkwardly and accidentally tumble on a scruffy haired kid about the same age as me.I quickly scramble into the mysterious shadows not knowing what to do next.My heart was thumping at an extreme pace.I could hear the sound of footsteps,getting closer.I dash into the overhanging bushes.I could hear him slowly retreating,”Phew,that was a close one”I breathlessly yelp.I didn’t want to say sorry but deep down i knew i had to.

I slowly trot back to the playground.I was frightened that I was going to get in trouble. My sweaty hands tremble as i slip off the monkey bars again.I quietly pick myself up and swiftly slide over to where the kid I bumped over was standing and softly tap his shoulder.”I’m so sorry for what happened before”I explain.”That's ok dude everyone makes mistakes you just gotta own up,hey do you know how to do the magenta monkey bars” (there are two different sets of monkey bars)” No” I reply running over to the monkey bars.”Well I have an awesome trick” “what”I ask impatiently...

I karate kick the door open bursting into the light,the sun sprinkled all over me creating a sparkling glow . Some nails in the broken deck scrape me as I explosively jump off . I love this school it is so tidy and clean and there are so many great opportunities . The smokey grey clouds block the shining sun . I burst through the doors breaking the stunned silence . I secretly scan the room sensing the smell of milk swiftly swerving in the soft breeze . I walk as slow as a turtle to get to the fridge . I quickly scatter to my first destination the amazing fantastic room 14 . "Knock knock Is anyone there!" I ask impatiently...

😎 Mr fantastic Nit Boy came flying out of the the window breaking all the glass,"Pow!"Nit Boy screamed as the glass shatters all over the soggy wet ground.Nit Boy loves adventures and loves bad guys in other words villains.One day he hopes to be one.Nit Boy loves nits more than anything.He is a bored teenage boy,and loves making comics.Nit Boy has amazing super powers like flying and can tell all his nits to do anything he wants them to do.This is what he wears wellington boots,his Nan's old tights,his Dads old Y-fronts,the NB logo for Nit Boy sewn by Auntie Pat and a cape fashioned from one of his Mums skirts.I love this character because he makes me laugh.😎

My goal for 2017 in Spelling is to get to higher spelling groups not only knowing how to spell the word but to know the definition for the word.I need to know how to put it in a sentence and fully understand the use of the word.
