This year for camp 84 Students went to camp and had the best time ever ! 25 Parents came and the ones who didn't`t come would have regretted it . 

Production Performance

Production Reflection 
We nervously walk on stage destain for another performance . Our fab costumes , looking amazing . We were doing production , our last performance . All of our other performances had gone amazing . Were waiting , Just waiting...Lights placed we strode onto stage . I think I said my lines well and stayed in character the WHOLE TIME . We had to have lots of makeup . I had been working on using more expression . Well that is what I focussed on and that is what I did . I had told Mrs Stathern Something to do with the position with the stage and she listened , She moved the stage fractionally Before the performance . Afterwards she came up to me and told me that was what stole the show . We earned lots of money for the school and had LOTS AND LOTS OF FUN!  

Production Rehearsal

Production Reflection

We had production rehearsal this week and it was long and tiring but we slowly got better and the last result was awesome . We had to run through it 10 times and each time takes more than an hour so it adds up to over 11 hours of production practice . I am only in the first 2 scenes so I had to listen and wait for the rest of the production which took a while . It also benefited as a result because I got lots of work done on my reports . It took longer because lots of people were missing there cues and there was a lot of talking which interrupting the speakers . It is quite annoying when you are doing your on stage waiting for your cue . It was not looking good at the start of the week but has progressed a lot and we are actually looking really good and doing well . It takes a while to get costumes sorted because we only started sorting them out yesterday . It took a lot of time and effort to prepare this production but I think it is going to pay off . This year we have some confident speakers and some lower speakers that have learn a lot and are catching up lots . We have a intelligent bunch of kids and I think it is going to be The Best Production Ever !!!!

Term 2 Proud Moments 2017

 Proud Moments

"Speech." I never thought I would finish , but with my awesome teacher (Mrs Hobbs) I got there ."Nice job Olly" were the comments from the crowd . All the trees were bowed at my brilliant presentation .

I'm also proud of going to winter sevens (I had to trial to get in .)

I am proud of ICAS . It really pushed me to my limits , I think I did really well .

I am also proud of going to Gym sports . I think the day turned out pretty well . I tried my hardest and that is all that matters . I think that the results really showed how much effort was put into it . I got first place ."Good job" says Mum .😏

Academics . Who ever thought I would do well . Probably me . I am very proud this term because I got my first Gold medal in mathletics . Which is a big step for me . Yay .

I am very proud of moving up in reading . 6 MONTHS . Thats crazy . Who wouldn't be proud of that . Come on . Thats amazing .

 Speech Reflection .

Don't you think a speech would be easy . Well NO . This term I was lucky enough to present a speech  . Lucky right . Wrong . I did speech this term and it was hard . I spent weeks trying to prepare and write it but overall I came out with a pretty good result . I think I went well in writing it . A bit average for delivering it . I think I spoke a bit to quietly and so the audience didn't hear me . But in the end it didn't matter . All that matters was that I had lots of fun . I didn't engage enough with the audience (eye contact) but my smile was what wrapped it all up .

"Slurp" The fruit suddenly disappears from my hand . "Crunch , crunch " Suddenly I turn around only to see the simian gobbling up the sloppy piece of fruit . A gooey source dribbling down his chin . "Ewwwww "I shout . It looked as if  the cookie monster was scoffing another one of his cookies . "Well he got his name for a reason"Boasts Aylee . We were at the simian cage lucky enough to go behind the scenes for a few animals . One of the people in our class (George.) His Mum works at the zoo . Lucky us 😃. We also got to feed the Giraffes . Their blue tongues were gross and slobbered all over my hand . It was disgusting! Hey overall we had an amazing day at the zoo and all really enjoyed it .

Environment Reflection
We are destroying the environment with out even knowing it. Just for money. Letting oil spill into the ocean. Nets dropping out of our boats killing animals. Plastic bags flying out of our hands and we don`t even care. Cutting down trees where animals live, destroying there lives. Did you know that trees give medicine that cures are dioceses. Food that feeds us.We need to do some thing!

                                      In reading this term we have been doing book talk.
                                                                               We have been learning about the 5 rules.                                                                          
This term in math we have been
learning about symmetry.We did some
rotations.We have been learning how
to draw 3 D shapes.




This term in writing we have been learning how to hook the reader into our
story.

tapa turtle

Tapa Turtle.

This term we have been learning about tapa cloth.

I learned how to carve.You had to carve away from yourself.I also learnt how to make tapa cloth.We learnt all the steps to make it.There were eight steps.They  are 1.Cut down a mulberry tree.2.Peel away all the white inner bark from the brown inner bark. 3.Roll up the white inner bark.4.lay out bark on wooden log.5.scrap the bark with shells.6.Beat the bark with mullets.7. scratch the inner so it looks like cloth.8.Then paint it with dys. I liked the maths rotations they were very fun.I liked circle power.It was a fun activity where we learnt about symmetry.My favourite activity was wrap it up.We learnt about geometry because in tapa cloth there is lots of patterns.I learnt how to find the lines of symmetry in shapes.I learnt what translation is.It is when you move a shape over,carrying on the pattern.I liked scrunching up the paper.

I dive in, the cold water surrounds me as I start to swim.I could feel the going to fall off."Go Olly,"screamed mum.I swim harder and harder.I could see the finish line up ahead.The flags wave wildly as I zoom by.The water splashes up into my face.I dig it in for the last five meters."Boom,"is the sound as I touch the wall.I fall onto the lane ropes smiling to myself, I had won the race.The red cube gets closer and closer as i receive the prize.

I karate kick the door open bursting through.The sun shines brightly as I pass by.I could feel the heat burning me.I scatter to my first destination ,the amazing,fantastic room 14.I knock cautiously,waiting for an answer.I could feel the nerves moving steadily throughout my body.My fingers tremble with fear as i wait patiently.Suddenly…

“Hello”says a familiar voice,it’s my cheeky brothers. ”Recycling please”i reply cheerfully “Man you look sweater than dad after he has been for a run,”I quickly peek inside their classroom and it was a mess.

 "Click,"Goes a pen as Addison sits up perfectly.She never gets distracted and is always on task.I think she is very responsible and always gets the job done."Be quiet"shushes Addison. Integrity flows through every living thing.I think she uses it positively not negativity.When other people talk she sits up.When everybody is off task she is on task.

“Bam,”I land awkwardly and accidentally tumble on a scruffy haired kid about the same age as me.I quickly scramble into the mysterious shadows not knowing what to do next.My heart was thumping at an extreme pace.I could hear the sound of footsteps,getting closer.I dash into the overhanging bushes.I could hear him slowly retreating,”Phew,that was a close one”I breathlessly yelp.I didn’t want to say sorry but deep down i knew i had to.

I slowly trot back to the playground.I was frightened that I was going to get in trouble. My sweaty hands tremble as i slip off the monkey bars again.I quietly pick myself up and swiftly slide over to where the kid I bumped over was standing and softly tap his shoulder.”I’m so sorry for what happened before”I explain.”That's ok dude everyone makes mistakes you just gotta own up,hey do you know how to do the magenta monkey bars” (there are two different sets of monkey bars)” No” I reply running over to the monkey bars.”Well I have an awesome trick” “what”I ask impatiently...

I karate kick the door open bursting into the light,the sun sprinkled all over me creating a sparkling glow . Some nails in the broken deck scrape me as I explosively jump off . I love this school it is so tidy and clean and there are so many great opportunities . The smokey grey clouds block the shining sun . I burst through the doors breaking the stunned silence . I secretly scan the room sensing the smell of milk swiftly swerving in the soft breeze . I walk as slow as a turtle to get to the fridge . 😎 Mr fantastic Nit Boy came flying out of the the window breaking all the glass,"Pow!"Nit Boy screamed as the glass shatters all over the soggy wet ground.Nit Boy loves adventures and loves bad guys in other words villains.One day he hopes to be one.Nit Boy loves nits more than anything.He is a bored teenage boy,and loves making comics.Nit Boy has amazing super powers like flying and can tell all his nits to do anything he wants them to do.This is what he wears wellington boots,his Nan's old tights,his Dads old Y-fronts,the NB logo for Nit Boy sewn by Auntie Pat and a cape fashioned from one of his Mums skirts.I love this character because he makes me laugh.😎

My goal for 2017 in Writing is to paint a clear picture in the writers head.Picking the correct gem for what i'm trying to say. Practicing inference.

My goal for 2017 in Reading is to choose the right book fit for myself,more complicated books.I need to infer in my reading.

My goal for 2017 in Spelling is to get to higher spelling groups not only knowing how to spell the word but to know the definition for the word.I need to know how to put it in a sentence and fully understand the use of the word.
